Director, IT Vendor Management , you will serve as a senior individual contributor within the IT organization responsible for governing Envista’s most strategic third‑party relationships and ensuring suppliers deliver measurable business value, operational performance, and contractual outcomes aligned to enterprise objectives.

This role carries enterprise accountability for the performance governance of Envista’s Managed Services Provider engagement, representing one of the company’s most significant operational dependencies. The Director operates as the primary interface between supplier leadership and Envista executives, driving supplier accountability, financial discipline, risk management, and service improvement across supported business and IT functions.

Operating through influence rather than direct authority, this role requires enterprise‑level engagement across IT leadership, functional business stakeholders, Finance, Procurement, and Legal to ensure supplier delivery supports strategic priorities while protecting operational continuity and financial outcomes.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Enterprise Supplier Governance

Own execution of governance for Envista’s most critical technology suppliers, ensuring alignment with enterprise operating objectives and service expectations.

Design and facilitate governance forums spanning operational, tactical, and executive levels, ensuring appropriate escalation, transparency, and resolution of issues.

Act as the senior escalation authority coordinating cross‑functional response to supplier performance concerns or contractual disputes.

Maintain executive‑level relationships with supplier leadership to influence delivery behavior and drive accountability.

MSP Performance Management

Provide strategic oversight and performance governance for Envista’s Managed Services Provider engagement (~$80M scope).

Define performance expectations in partnership with IT service owners and ensure enforcement of SLAs, XLAs, and contractual KPIs.

Interpret performance analytics to identify systemic service risks, root causes, and improvement opportunities.

Lead cross‑functional remediation initiatives when performance gaps are identified.

Ensure supplier delivery outcomes align with operational reliability, user experience, and business continuity objectives.

Financial Stewardship & Commercial Oversight

Partner with IT Finance and Procurement to monitor financial performance of the engagement, including invoice validation and consumption analysis.

Evaluate commercial drivers and service utilization trends to identify cost optimization or efficiency opportunities.

Support strategic commercial discussions including scope evolution, renegotiation inputs, and value realization tracking.

Ensure financial exposure and leakage risks are surfaced and mitigated.

Contractual Compliance & Risk Management

Interpret contractual obligations and ensure alignment between delivery execution and agreed terms.

Identify operational, financial, and dependency risks associated with supplier delivery.

Coordinate risk mitigation actions across IT, Legal, and Procurement stakeholders.

Contribute to contingency planning and service continuity readiness.

Enterprise Stakeholder Engagement & Influence

Act as the central coordination point across IT tower leaders, service owners, and business stakeholders impacted by supplier‑delivered services.

Translate stakeholder feedback and operational concerns into structured performance actions and governance outcomes.

Facilitate alignment between competing stakeholder priorities when service tradeoffs are required.

Deliver executive‑level insights and recommendations to senior leadership regarding supplier performance, risk exposure, and value realization.

Build trusted advisory relationships with senior stakeholders to ensure supplier performance supports enterprise objectives.

Influence decision‑making without direct authority across organizational boundaries and supplier leadership structures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in business, technology, supply chain, or related field.

10+ years of experience in vendor management, outsourcing governance, IT service management, or similar.

Demonstrated experience governing large‑scale outsourcing or managed services engagements ($50M+ scope strongly preferred).

Proven ability to operate at executive stakeholder levels across multiple functions.

Strong expertise in supplier performance management, SLA governance, and service delivery oversight.

Working knowledge of commercial agreements and contractual governance.

Strong financial acumen including cost analysis and value tracking.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and influence skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience managing MSP engagements of comparable enterprise complexity.

Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (ITIL or similar).

Experience in regulated or global operating environments.

Ability to analyze performance data and translate into executive insights.

Demonstrated success influencing outcomes without direct authority.

Target Market Salary Range: Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
