
Evaluation Analyst

DNI is seeking a highly skilled Evaluation Analyst to support the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This role supports the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of evaluation and performance monitoring efforts for federally funded public health programs, including cooperative agreements and grants. The Evaluation Analyst will assess program effectiveness, efficiency, and impact, while providing actionable insights to CDC stakeholders and public health partners.
Design and implement evaluation strategies for CDC and federally funded public health programs, including cooperative agreements and grants
Develop evaluation plans, logic models, performance measures, and data collection instruments aligned with CDC public health program goals and priorities
Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses, including survey and interview design, data management, and statistical analysis of public health program data
Assess program performance, effectiveness, and progress toward short- and long-term public health outcomes
Develop and operationalize performance monitoring systems for CDC programs, including:
Defining public health data sources
Establishing data collection workflows
Creating reporting cadences aligned with CDC requirements
Implementing data quality assurance protocols for public health data
Communicate evaluation findings to diverse stakeholders, including CDC program staff, public health partners, and grantees, through clear reports, presentations, and actionable recommendations
Support continuous improvement of CDC-funded public health programs by identifying gaps and implementing corrective action strategies
Apply analytical and functional business skills to public health program challenges, including:
Developing analytical models and complex spreadsheets to analyze programmatic, financial, or operational public health data
Designing evaluation frameworks and performance metrics aligned with CDC priorities
Facilitating strategic planning sessions with CDC and public health stakeholders
Documenting public health program processes and workflows
Assessing and improving organizational and program processes within a federal public health context
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in program evaluation for federally funded programs, preferably supporting CDC or similar public health agencies
Strong qualitative and quantitative research and analysis skills applied to public health programs
Experience with public health data collection, management, and analysis tools
Ability to translate complex public health data into clear insights and actionable recommendations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, CDC staff, and external public health partners
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required (public health, epidemiology, statistics, social sciences, or related field preferred)
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
