Controller - Automotive Dealership

Stan McNabb Chevrolet Buick GMC is seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Controller to join our team inTullahoma, TN. This key financial leadership role will oversee the dealership’s accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance functions to ensure strong fiscal health and support strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of automotive dealership operations and a proactive approach to managing financial performance.
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of accounting and financial reporting, including month‑end close, audits, and tax filings.
Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business planning and decision making.
Ensure compliance with dealership, local, state, and federal financial regulations and standards.
Lead cash flow management, banking relationships, and capital expenditure planning.
Collaborate closely with senior management to evaluate business performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Oversee payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and internal controls.
Provide financial insights and reporting to ownership and stakeholders.
Support dealerships’ operational departments by providing timely financial advice and analysis.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, but not required.
Proven experience as a Controller, or senior financial manager, preferably in the automotive dealership industry.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and dealership financial software systems.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast‑paced environment.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
