
Marketing Communications Intern

The Community Blood Center is dedicated to saving lives through blood donation and community engagement. We are seeking a motivated and creative college student to join our marketing team for the summer. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in various aspects of marketing and communications.
JOB SUMMARY The Marketing Intern will assist the marketing team in donor recruitment campaigns and promotions, planning and execution of event blood drives, and related administrative tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
Event Assistance:
Support the planning and execution of community events, including blood drives and community events, including logistics, recruitment, day‑of set up and clean up, and assisting team members, volunteers and donors.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the marketing team to assist with brainstorming and implementing new ideas for campaigns and outreach efforts.
Content creation:
Assist in creating engaging and informative written and visual content for multiple audiences, including team members and donors.
Social media:
Assist in creating and scheduling social media to promote blood drive events and awareness campaigns.
Administrative tasks:
Perform administrative duties as needed to support the marketing department, including data collection and preparation.
Inventory management and distribution:
Organize and prepare promotional materials and gifts for fulfillment to donors, as well as team member resources.
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Currently enrolled in a college or university, preferably pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
Strong writing and communication skills.
Experience in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
Familiarity with social media platforms and content management tools.
Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
Detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Enthusiastic about community service and making a positive impact.
