Contract Landman (Project Management)
Transglobal Services is seeking experienced independent Landman professionals to support active and upcoming client projects. This opportunity is structured as an independent contractor engagement and is project-based, with work assigned based on client needs and scope. This role supports advanced land functions, including title research, contract preparation, and land rights acquisition efforts.
Scope of Work
Conducting title research and ownership verification using public records and available data sources
Identifying and documenting title issues and supporting curative efforts
Preparing, reviewing, and supporting negotiation of land-related agreements, including leases, easements, and surface agreements
Supporting due diligence activities related to acquisitions, divestitures, or project development
Coordinating abstracts, title opinions, and related documentation as required for project scope
Interfacing with stakeholders, landowners, or client representatives as necessary to support project deliverables
Maintaining accurate documentation and supporting overall land records management for assigned projects
Contractor Expectations
Operate as an independent service provider and maintain control over how work is performed
Deliver work products aligned with defined project scope, timelines, and quality expectations
Utilize their own tools, resources, and professional judgment to complete deliverables
Submit billable hours or project-based deliverables in accordance with agreed terms
Engage on a project-by-project basis with no guarantee of ongoing work
Experience & Qualifications
Demonstrated experience performing landman functions, including title research and contract support
Strong understanding of land records, title processes, and land-related agreements
Experience supporting lease acquisition, due diligence, or curative efforts preferred
Ability to work independently and manage complex deliverables
Strong communication and documentation skills
Compensation Compensation is structured on an hourly or project basis and aligned with client bill rates and project scope.
