Cliftondale United Methodist Church in South Fulton invites a dedicated Praise and Worship Leader/Choir Director to help shape our worship experience and uplift our community through music. This part‑time role offers a chance to make a meaningful difference in our congregation's spiritual journey and the life of the applicant.
Qualifications
Ability to lead worship (includes singing)
Gifted in building and directing praise teams and choirs of all ages
Ability to work collaboratively with the Pastor, staff, volunteers, and musicians
Possesses excellent people skills with all ages and possesses the ability to organize, coordinate, and create.
Previous experience in church music ministry desired.
Attendance at and participation in weekly rehearsal and worship service.
Professional reliability, punctuality, and positive interpersonal skills.
Strong Christian Character
Specific Responsibilities
Assists in coordinating the total music and arts program of the church for all ages.
Leads praise team during worship services.
Assists in establishing annual objectives for worship and music programs.
Develop the musical skills of choirs through rehearsals and coaching, helping individuals grow and feel valued in their contributions.
Assists in planning, organizing, and special events.
Collaborates with the Pastor, Director of Music, and pastoral staff to prepare music for weekly services.
May be required to accompany the pastor and praise team to represent the church at off‑site events.
Assists in selecting music for worship service appropriate to the worship themes and seasons.
Assists in arranging music for the specific needs and capabilities of the praise team.
Assists in coordinating existing music ministry (vocal, praise team) and further develops the programs for Sunday Worship and special services (including weddings and funerals as requested and available for additional remuneration).
Assists the Director of Music in providing musical assistance on other occasions as requested by the Senior Pastor.
Performs other related tasks as requested.
