We’re looking for a highly motivated, strategic, and client-focused Account Manager to join our Client Services team in the fast-paced world of tradeshow marketing. This involves creating and managing relationships of complex projects across trade shows, digital platforms, and experiential activations.

Job Description The Account Manager on the Client Services Team is responsible for end-to-end oversight of complex tradeshow and experiential marketing programs. This role reports to the Director of Client Services and blends strategic leadership with tactical execution, ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and growth while managing internal resources and external partners to deliver best-in-class experiences.
You will serve as a strategic partner to clients, aligning program objectives with broader marketing goals and coordinating cross-functional teams in an integrated agency environment. You’ll own scope development and execution, drive margin targets, and play a critical role in maintaining client relationships built on trust, transparency, and exceptional delivery.
This is a high-impact role for a dynamic individual with a collaborative and agile mindset. The ideal candidate thrives on creative problem solving, change management, and creating positive relationships. You’ll be the tip of the spear as a liaison between all of project execution, account management and creative services.

Location & Travel
Local to the Twin Cities metro area and can travel to/from work site in Maple Grove, MN 3+ days per week.
Travel when determined in partnership with Client Services demand on client engagements.

Duties & Responsibilities Client Strategy & Relationship Management
Serve as the day-to-day lead for key accounts, providing strategic counsel and maintaining strong, ongoing client relationships.
Understand client business models, competitive environments, and marketing goals to ensure programs are aligned with broader brand strategy.
Lead annual planning, strategic road-mapping, and program development discussions with clients.
Maintain regular, proactive communication with clients through status calls, in-person meetings, and ongoing reporting.
Scope Planning & Execution
Lead the development of scopes of work, strategic and creative briefs.
Collaborate with project managers to define timelines, budgets and deliverables.
Oversee the execution of all projects within scope, ensuring high‑quality delivery that meets or exceeds client expectations.
Ensure adherence to scope, proactively managing change orders and scope creep.
Maintain client-facing status documentation and all client communication and deliverables.
Customer Retention & Growth
Drive retention by delivering value, fostering strong relationships, and understanding evolving client needs.
Identify and pursue upsell/cross‑sell opportunities within existing accounts in partnership with the business development.
Develop and present strategic recommendations that add value to our clients while expanding service offerings and program scale for SLC.
Customer Satisfaction & Success
Serve as the voice of the client internally, advocating for their needs while balancing agency priorities.
Monitor and report on key client KPIs, success metrics, and satisfaction surveys.
Lead post‑event debriefs and lessons‑learned discussions, capturing insights to improve future programs.
Partner with project managers and finance to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and profitability targets.
Ensure that all programs are delivered within budget and meet target project margins.
Maintain financial accuracy through consistent tracking, reporting, and reconciliation.
Cross‑functional Collaboration
Work closely with project managers, creative teams, operations, and external vendors to ensure alignment and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
Work hand‑in‑hand with Project Management team which will act as a central point of coordination across multiple workstreams and stakeholders in an integrated agency environment.
Facilitate smooth communication and documentation across teams to drive efficiency and reduce risk.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
2–6 years of experience in account management, client services, or strategic planning within the trade show, experiential, or marketing agency environment.
Demonstrated success managing complex marketing programs with multiple stakeholders and moving parts.
Solid understanding of B2B marketing, trade show planning, and brand activation.
Required Core Skills
Excellent client relationship and communication skills with a consultative, solutions‑focused approach.
Strong organizational and project leadership abilities, with experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
Financial acumen with a proven ability to manage project budgets, forecasts, and target margins.
Ability to lead cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
Strategic mindset with a proactive, detail‑oriented, and collaborative working style.
Comfortable leading client presentations, planning sessions, and internal team meetings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP, and CRM systems.
Familiarity with Canva, Smartsheet or other task management software.
Nice to Have
2+ years of NetSuite ERP experience, specifically with SOWs and/or CRM.
Trade show industry certifications (e.g., CTSM, CEM).
Experience working within or managing integrated agency models.
Familiarity with experiential technologies, digital engagement tools, or exhibit fabrication workflows.
