Description The Senior Interior Designer provides leadership to the project team to make interior spaces functional, safe, and beautiful by determining space requirements, developing design elements, and selecting finishes and furnishings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Fully competent in all conventional aspects of interior design.

Generate concepts for interiors projects, including full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating interior design assignments.

Plan and design interior aspects by developing appropriate concepts and approaches.

Create space plans and furniture layouts, finish plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevation, and section detailing.

Selection of design elements including: color, fabrics, furniture, finishes, window treatments and lighting.

Provide subject matter expertise on specific components of Interior Design.

Develop accurate product specifications, budgets, purchasing lists and coordinate with the lead interior designer.

Exhibit excellent computer skills and proficiency with learning new software.

Timely and regular attendance to complete job duties.

Qualifications

Ten + years of professional interior design experience preferred.

Healthcare project experience preferred.

Certified Healthcare Interior Designer (CHID) certification preferred.

Professional Degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited school preferred.

Licensed Interior Designer in the State of Minnesota or Wisconsin or National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) required.

Proficiency with Revit preferred.

Familiarity with Bluebeam and InDesign preferred.

Valid driver’s license and a "clean" driving record for insurability with our carrier.

Physical Demands This position works in a traditional office setting and is also responsible for construction job site visits. This includes computer and desk work for long periods of time along with the ability to navigate job sites.

Work Environment This position must thrive in a busy setting with frequent interruptions and have the ability to prioritize and problem solve. This position may travel to job sites and client locations. Job site travel and review may include inclement weather conditions, including heat and cold.
