Copywriter
to join the
Marketing
team based in its New York City (SoHo) headquarters.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop brand messages for all digital marketing channels including ecommerce, social media, performance and digital media
Collaborate with brand marketing, ecommerce, and graphic design teams to develop relevant product stories and experiences
Pitch content ideas during meetings for both big seasonal concepts and daily assets
Write engaging copy for subject lines, editorial emails, homepages and landing pages in view of weekly results and benchmarks
Generate compelling copy for printed marketing collateral, brand events and In-store materials
Craft the tone for social copy in both organic and paid campaigns with strategic recommendations.
Partner closely with merchant and design partners to construct product descriptions for all products sold on marcjacobs.com
Own process of creating and editing all copy needs for the brand, from briefing to proofreading and QA testing
Work closely with project manager to construct and adhere to timelines for all relevant projects and initiatives
Conduct regular market research to draw inspiration and learnings for telling brand stories
Reports to Graphic Art Director, Digital and Brand
QUALIFICATIONS
5-7 years relevant copywriting or editorial writing experience
Fashion experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree required
Excellent communication and a broad range of writing skills, from creative to technical
Strong proofreading abilities with an acute attention to detail
Proactive self-starter and multi-tasker
Highly organized while remaining flexible to meet business needs
Ability to self-prioritize and meet deadlinesA team player and business partner to all cross‑functional teams
Solutions oriented with a positive attitude

SALARY & BENEFITS The compensation for this position ranges from $75,000 - $80,000 annually. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience. Marc Jacobs uses the published salary range as a guideline to provide our employees with market competitive pay while allowing for flexibility to recognize and reward all levels of expertise, performance, and tenure.
