We’re hiring an

On-Page SEO Specialist

with strong SEO foundations and 2+ years of real execution experience. This role is focused on the US market. You will plan and execute on-page SEO, build topical maps, research competitors, publish content in WordPress, and continuously improve our highest-priority pages to keep them ranking in the Top 3.

There are no writers in this role. You will create briefs/outlines and write content yourself using ChatGPT as an assistant, but you own the final quality, structure, and accuracy.

What you’ll do

Write and publish SEO content in WordPress (articles + landing pages): outlines, drafts, formatting, images, internal links, on-page SEO.

Use ChatGPT effectively to speed up writing and iteration (outlines, rewrites, variants), while ensuring the final result is human-quality, accurate, and US-English.

Build topical maps / topical clusters : keyword research, intent grouping, URL plan, hub‑and‑spoke structure, internal linking plan.

Competitor + SERP research : analyze what ranks in the US market, identify gaps, and create pages that outperform.

Maintain and defend Top 3 rankings for priority pages: refresh content, improve CTR, add missing sections, strengthen internal linking, and keep pages updated.

Execute on‑page optimizations: title tags, meta descriptions, headings, content structure, entity/subtopic coverage, FAQs, media optimization, basic schema (when appropriate).

Identify and resolve SEO issues including canonical tag problems and keyword cannibalization (consolidate/redirect/re‑target/canonical/internal link fixes).

Monitor performance and report progress weekly (actions shipped, results, next steps).

What you must know (strong foundations) SEO fundamentals

Search intent and matching the correct page type to the SERP

SERP analysis (why the Top 3 pages win and how to beat them)

On-page SEO execution

Proper H1/H2 structure, scannability, and content quality control

Content refresh workflows (improving pages already ranking)

Internal linking strategy (hub/spoke, anchors, crawl depth)

ChatGPT for SEO content production

Strong understanding of ChatGPT as a writing assistant: prompting, structuring, rewriting, generating variants

Ability to edit AI drafts into clean, natural US-style content (no fluff, no generic sections, no inaccuracies).

Technical SEO basics (light but real) You don’t need to be a developer, but you must be able to identify issues and communicate fixes clearly.

Canonical tags (what they do, common mistakes, how to verify)

Keyword cannibalization (how to detect and fix competing URLs)

301 vs 302 redirects (basic correct usage)

noindex / robots.txt basics (blocking crawling vs indexing)

XML sitemap basics (indexable URLs, hygiene)

Core Web Vitals awareness (LCP / INP / CLS concepts + common causes)

Tools you must be comfortable with (rank/traffic stack)

Google Search Console (Performance, Indexing, URL Inspection, comparisons)

GA4 (landing pages, source/medium, conversions/events)

Ahrefs or Semrush (keyword research, competitor research)

Screaming Frog (or similar) for basic crawls and audits

WordPress (must-have) : publishing, formatting, updating pages, working with SEO plugins

Requirements

2+ years of hands‑on SEO experience targeting the US market

WordPress experience is mandatory

English: not necessarily fluent, but strong enough to communicate daily (messages/calls) and publish clear content in US English

Practical experience resolving canonical and cannibalization issues

High attention to detail + consistent weekly delivery
