Job Description We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented freelance Set Designer to design immersive escape room environments. This role includes concept development, layout design, theming, and integration of interactive elements to enhance the guest experience.
Responsibilities
Design immersive, themed environments for escape rooms
Create layouts that support guest flow, durability, and reset efficiency
Collaborate with technicians to ensure designs are buildable and functional
Select materials, props, and finishes appropriate for high-use environments
Qualifications
Experience in set design, themed entertainment, or experiential design
Strong portfolio of immersive or environmental work
Understanding of how guests interact with physical spaces
Ability to design for both aesthetics and function
Preferred
Theater, theme park, haunted attraction, or escape room experience
Experience working with fabricators or builders
