Sound Engineer for High School Play
Position Summary: To manage the sound needs of the high school play, including set-up, operation, and maintenance of sound equipment for rehearsals and performances.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Work with the director to plan and support the sound needs of the production, including microphones, sound effects, music cues, and overall audio balance Set up, test, and operate sound equipment during rehearsals and performances Monitor audio levels and troubleshoot sound issues in a timely manner Coordinate microphone distribution, collection, and care for cast members as needed Maintain organization, storage, and care of all sound equipment before, during, and after the production Assist with strike and ensure all sound materials and equipment are properly returned and stored for future use
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with sound boards, microphones, speakers, and basic audio troubleshooting ? Familiarity with live theater or school productions ? Ability to stay organized and respond calmly during rehearsals and performances
Timeline: March/April
Stipend: $400 Do not post these notes. Notes for HR/PAYROLL (this is a stipend position paid as an independent contractor, paid from unused funds from stipend list)
