
LTL Pricing Analyst

Purpose/Job Function
The LTL Business Analytics Manager/(Pricing Analyst) is responsible for developing business solutions and insights using proven analytical, technical, and business methodologies to drive customer and business decisions. This position is responsible for understanding customer needs, analyzing complex and incomplete data, developing transportation solutions, negotiating pricing, and interacting with the customer through the process. In addition, this role is responsible for upholding our core values of ethics, engagement, and excellence.
Essential Functions
Use business data and statistical methods to provide insight into business performance and suggest areas for improvement.
Lead the assessment, plan development, and execution of transportation solutions and customer support strategy; formulate and implement a strategic plan that will drive customer value and carrier focus.
Collaborate with sales team by evaluating customers’ current freight spend cost and benchmark to market rates.
Properly qualify business opportunities into logistics strategies that contribute to and drive transportation solutions.
Analyze customer data using analytic methodologies to create transportation solutions.
Monitor KPI's to ensure customer transportation value is performing to agreed standards.
Manage and report on key operational process and performance indicators.
Participate in the development of improved analytic tools and process improvement.
Implement analytical approaches and methodologies and assists with the interpretation of results.
Utilize prescribed decision support tools with process for efficient job execution.
Manage the creation and maintenance of documents to aid customers in using the most cost-effective carriers.
Manages the implementation and execution of analytical tools.
Study and keep abreast of key economic and industry trends and conditions.
Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements
Analytical with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to analyze complex and incomplete data sets.
Ability to design analytical tools and implement into business processes.
Strong analytical and Excel skills a must. Experience with Power BI a plus.
Superior written and verbal communicate and presentation skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
Flexibility to respond to multiple deadlines and time management skills to prioritize workload effectively.
Strong business acumen.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business or Analytics or 5 years related experience and/or training in lieu of degree.
Working Conditions This position will conduct work in front of a computer for long hours at a time and may cause eye irritation or even muscle strain.
Customary Work Hours 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.
