Overview The Loan Servicing Representative will manage and maintain member loan accounts including handling inquiries and resolving issues while providing exceptional member service and support throughout the loan lifecycle.

Essential Responsibilities

Answer inbound calls to assist and educate members with inquiries regarding consumer loans, lines of credit, credit cards, and mortgages, conveying both general information as well as discussing more complex topics regarding billing and escrow.

Respond to internal team member inquiries. These inquiries will typically be in reference to, but not limited to: Loan account maintenance, Collateral protection insurance (CPI), Skip-a-pay.

Troubleshoot and resolve loan-related issues and questions.

Conduct member follow ups on items including, but not limited to: Issue resolution, Updates on unresolved issues, Proof of insurance discrepancies for vehicle, mortgage, or commercial loans.

Process paid loans, reviewing reports to ensure that loans have been appropriately closed.

Process mortgage satisfactions, ensuring that the appropriate county has been notified of the lien release and the member has been sent proper documentation.

Ensure skip-a-pays have all necessary supporting documentation and monitor for completion, processing any applications that are not received through automated channels.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum of two years of experience in a loan servicing role required with basic knowledge of commercial, real estate, and/or consumer loan files and documentation.

Minimum of one year of phone experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Attention to detail.

Strong billing and account management knowledge to investigate and explain how payments are applied, simple interest, and transaction history.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn both Microsoft Office products and multiple Credit Union systems.

Time management skills to prioritize tasks and conduct follow ups in a timely manner.

Ability to research and analyze information to troubleshoot issues.
