POSITION SUMMARY: A Bakery Server is responsible for providing friendly, efficient customer service while assisting guests with selecting bakery items, beverages, and prepared foods. This role involves greeting customers, explaining products, taking orders, handling payments, and ensuring the display cases and service areas remain clean, stocked, and visually appealing.
Bakery servers help create a welcoming atmosphere by delivering fast, attentive service and maintaining knowledge of the bakery’s menu, ingredients, and daily specials. They also assist with packaging products, preparing basic drinks such as coffee, and supporting the team to keep operations running smoothly.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service
Help customers select bakery items, sandwiches, and beverages
Take accurate orders and process payments through the POS system
Prepare and serve coffee and basic drinks
Package pastries, breads, and food items neatly for customers
Maintain a clean, organized counter and display area following food safety standards
Restock bakery displays and assist the team with opening, closing, and daily tasks
QUALIFICATIONS:
Friendly, positive attitude with strong customer service skills
Good communication and ability to interact with customers professionally
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Basic math skills for handling cash and processing payments
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
Previous experience in a bakery, café, or restaurant preferred but not required
Barista experience
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Compensation:
$14 - 15 an hour
