
Corporate Tax Manager

We’re seeking a hands‑on
Tax Manager
to lead complex tax compliance, reporting and planning for a family office style investment company within the Real Estate and Energy arena. This role will oversee a high volume of subsidiary partnership returns and multistate tax matters while partnering closely with internal accounting and investment teams, external advisors, and joint venture partners.

Essential Duties & Functions
Lead preparation and review of
Partnership and S Corporation income tax compliance
Prepare and review tax packages from multiple business units for
federal and multistate income tax filings
Oversee
multistate tax compliance , including apportionment, state modifications, and audit support
Provide investors with
K-1 packages, capital account statements, and tax communications
Review partnership agreements to ensure tax provisions (target capital, waterfalls, catch-ups, clawbacks) are properly reflected in tax reporting
Manage tax reporting deadlines and coordinate
estimated tax payments and extensions
with external advisors
Assist with
quarterly taxable income projections
across multiple tiers within the corporate structure
Manage tax calculations and reporting related to
fixed assets and depreciation systems
Prepare and review
tax account reconciliations
and ensure alignment with GAAP-based financial statements
Support
property tax filings and tax incentive reporting
across multiple states
Conduct research on tax issues, respond to tax notices, and monitor
changes in tax legislation
that may impact planning and compliance
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting
8+ years of tax experience , ideally including public accounting tax compliance
Strong experience with
partnership taxation and multistate filings
Experience preparing returns for
C Corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships, and Individuals
Advanced
analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with
Excel and fixed asset/depreciation software
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently in a fast‑paced environment
CPA preferred
