About The Role & Team Investor Relations is an important function for The Walt Disney Company, involving finance, communications, and marketing to successfully manage the information flow between our company, the investment community, shareholders, and other stakeholders. Our team delivers a range of messaging across platforms such as quarterly earnings and industry conferences with investors and buy and sell‑side analysts, delivering context around the company’s historical performance and forward strategic direction, including the narrative of “the Disney story”. We develop and maintain strong, transparent relationships with these partners over time, acting as conduits between business leadership and external experts to share market perspectives and investor feedback.

What You Will Do Responsibilities include:

Strategic Understanding & Messaging

Develop a strong understanding of the Company's businesses, financial performance, and strategies through continuous collaboration with key business partners

Translate complex financial and operational information into clear, compelling narratives that effectively communicate the Company's objectives, performance, and growth opportunities to internal and external stakeholders

Craft messaging that articulates the Company's position within the competitive landscape and helps analysts and investors understand the full scope of our business strategies

Investor & Analyst Engagement

Lead the preparation process for quarterly earnings calls, analyst conferences, and investor meetings, including development of conference call scripts, Q&A documents, and presentation materials

Manage relationships and regular communication with investors and sell‑side analysts, proactively responding to inquiries and anticipating key messages based on company performance and industry dynamics

Analysis, Reporting & Cross‑Functional Partnership

Drive team analyses and reporting, including consensus modeling, analyst research updates, internal models, and investor meeting summaries

Lead internal analyses and ad‑hoc projects, including presentations for senior management and data analysis to inform strategic communication

Collaborate cross‑functionally with multiple levels of leadership, including senior Corporate executives, business segment leadership, and a variety of cross‑functional partners (such as Legal and FP&A)

Basic Qualifications

Strong financial acumen with proficiency in quantitative analysis and financial modeling with a broad understanding of financial markets

Exceptional storytelling abilities with a talent for translating data and financial information into clear, persuasive narratives

Excellent communication skills in both oral and written settings, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences

Demonstrated ability to build and deliver compelling executive‑level presentations

Ability to exercise critical thinking and independently lead processes and key deliverables

Proactive problem‑solving skills with a focus on improving analyses and processes

Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word; experience with IR Insight a plus

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Ability to multi‑task and succeed in a dynamic environment

Required Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or related field

5+ years of relevant experience in investor relations, finance, equity research, investment banking, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence across levels of management

Experience in media/entertainment industry preferred

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $120,800.00 to $147,600.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
