In this role, you’ll take the lead on customer special orders—interpreting specifications, creating designs, building bills of materials, and ensuring products are delivered on time and built right the first time. You’ll work independently on meaningful design challenges while being fully supported by a collaborative engineering organization spanning multiple plants, departments, and global teams.
What You’ll Do
Own the design and execution of customer special orders, including new and modified designs based on standard DeZURIK products
Create high‑quality 2D and 3D drawings (installation, assembly, and piece parts) using DraftSight/AutoCAD, Inventor, and SolidWorks
Build and maintain part numbers, bills of materials, and routers within the ERP system
Translate customer specifications into clear, accurate, and manufacturable designs
Coordinate closely with sales, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and suppliers to deliver complete solutions
Work directly with vendors to obtain technical data and define component specifications
Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide engineering and troubleshooting support across the organization
Help expedite orders and solve technical challenges to meet customer delivery commitments

What You Bring
High school diploma plus a 2‑year associate or vocational degree in drafting/design and 2+ years of related experience
Strong proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD systems
Working knowledge of manufacturing practices, fluid power systems, instrumentation, and basic electronics
Ability to read and apply engineering standards and customer specifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A self‑starter mindset with the ability to prioritize work and deliver results with minimal oversight
Salary and Benefits DeZURIK offers a competitive hourly rate in the
$27.96 to $34.95
range, based on experience and qualifications, along with annual bonus opportunities tied to performance.
