Ashtrom Renewable Energy operates as an Independent Power Producer (IPP) and specializes in developing, financing, constructing, and operating large-scale renewable energy projects.

Position

We are seeking a highly motivated

Associate Asset Manager

to support our growing portfolio of utility‑scale renewable energy projects. In this role, you will be a part of Ashtrom Renewable Energy's Asset Management team in Austin, TX, which oversees the technical, financial and regulatory management of our projects.

Reporting to the Director of Asset Management, in this role you will coordinate between in‑house and external stakeholders, service providers and contractors in areas such as regulatory compliance, management of commercial requirements and deliverables, performance tracking and reporting.

Role Requirements

Key Job Responsibilities

1. Regulatory Compliance & Contract Management

Regulatory Filings: Ensure timely submittals and compliance with regulatory requirements for ERCOT, EIA, NERC, and PUCT.

Contract Compliance and Administration: Ensure compliance with all project agreement requirements including PPAs, Interconnection, Leases, O&M, Asset Management, QSE and Financing agreements.

2. Operational Oversight & Performance Monitoring

Site Operations Oversight: Track and analyze factors affecting site performance such as curtailment, availability, weather impact, etc.

Reporting & Analytics: Build and maintain dashboards to identify optimization opportunities; manage data integrity and process improvements.

Create, Track, and Manage KPIs

3. O&M Coordination & Technical Support

Work Execution Review: Review Daily Work Logs and the Plan of the Day (POD) to ensure active work orders and equipment outages (inverters/comm issues) are addressed.

Inventory Management: Track spare parts inventory and lead times to minimize Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).

4. Financial and Commercial

Review Monthly ERCOT Settlements, identify, and flag discrepancies

Track monthly P&L performance against annual budget; Ability to identify and explain variances

5. Other Activities

Support and oversee third party services and onsite support functions

Reporting: Own reporting process for various stakeholders (Lenders, Regulatory, Compliance, Operations, etc.)

Assist in and support insurance renewal activities, as needed

Familiarity with and tracking of landowner/lease obligations

Make site visits as needed to ensure high standards are being met.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, Finance, Economics, Business, or other related field (Required)

3+ years of experience in renewable energy, asset management, project finance or solar operations

Stakeholder and Project Management - ability to communicate with multiple project stakeholders and track tasks across different work streams; Ensure on time delivery and management of tasks, milestones, and contractual obligations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to communicate complex issues in a clear and concise manner.

Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite of products - Office 365, Excel, Power BI, Visio, Planner, SharePoint, etc.
