Summary

Dime Community Bank (Dime) is currently hiring for a Loan Transaction Associate at its headquarters in Hauppauge, Long Island. The Loan Transaction Associate supports the daily and monthly reconciliation of the Loan Operations general ledgers and DDA accounts. The role is also responsible for posting entries, wire transfers and researching and directing the Loan Operations Specialists to process adjustments and payments to accounts based on the data identified within the GL accounts. The Loan Transaction Associate also works closely with Corporate Accounting to ensure all GL accounts are in order and not aged. Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $57,500 to $70,000 annually. The exact compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, education, training, licensure and certifications, and location. All applicants must attach a recent resume. This is not a remote role. Responsibilities

Maintain a sound operating environment ensuring transactions are processed completely and accurately and are properly authorized in accordance with policies and procedures. Prepare and send out loan related wire transfers. Participate in the daily and monthly reconciliations Loan Payments Received and Loan Costs in Process Accounts resolving and stale and current items. Research / resolve “out of balance” Loan Accounting System Accounts (LAS). Identify variances and provide guidance to team to resolve. Post all necessary journal entries to Navigator / Prologue system. Provide backup support for the Good Faith Deposits. Receipt deposits and dispense 3rd party expenses. Support the Escrow Holdback process. Partner and collaborate to maintain positive working relationships with various departments within the organization including Corporate Accounting, Internal Audit, etc. to ensure synchronization between key enterprise systems, and efficient inter-department workflows. Review loan fee income accounts to ensure that fee income is appropriately assessed and collected on a weekly/monthly basis. Generate and review daily, monthly, and quarterly reports using Viewpoint and Director. Participate in activities related to internal controls and operational audits. Meet all Service Level Agreements. [What does this mean?] Maintain / update assigned Resource Hub documents. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications

College degree in Accounting or Business or equivalent business experience. Minimum three years’ banking experience or previous accounting experience. Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; Prologue and Director. Advanced Excel skills including but not limited to search function, cut/insert/hide rows and columns, sorting, filtering, summing, formulas, FUNCTIONS: text to columns, conditional formatting, and v-look. Ability to achieve a high standard with work processes and outcomes, able to complete tasks with a concern for all details involved; monitors and checks work for precision, clarity, and completeness; produces quality results. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Highly motivated and flexible with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and interact with a diverse group of people with tact and professionalism. Must comply with all state and federal regulations.
