The Coal Creek Golf Course is looking for qualified candidates to fill our part time Guest Services Attendant positions and Ranger/Starter positions. This position is under the direct supervision of the Assistant Golf Professionals and may be assigned to a variety of duties in guest services at the Golf Course.
This is a part time position with varied hours. We are looking for candidates who can work 4, 7 hour shifts a week.
Shifts can begin as early as 6 am or late as 7 pm, 7 days per week.

Guest Service Attendant duties:
Positive attitude, flexible and versatile, able to work well in a team oriented, fast paced and changing environment.
Provides outstanding customer service through personal interaction with all visitors to Coal Creek Golf Course.
May stage golf carts for daily use.
May clean, restock and charge golf carts after each use.
May clean and stage pull carts and golf bikes.
May stage the practice range for daily use.
May collect and clean golf range balls as required.
Occasionally may serve as a golf course starter by maintaining a steady flow of organized play from the first tee.
Occasionally may serve as a golf course ranger enforcing course rules in a positive manner.
Ranger/Starter Duties:
Inform golfers of rules and regulations pertaining to the golf course and enforces rules.
Coordinates the flow of golfers on the course with help from the pro shop and starter on duty.
Provides direction and assistance to golfers and ensures the smooth flow of play on the course.
Provide timely updates and communications regarding pace of play, status of tee times, course conditions and other pertinent information to the Golf Pro Shop.
May maintain accurate tee time, customer records and pace of play records using a computerized tee sheet program.
Maintains communication via radio or phone with pro shop and course assistant regarding play.Monitors and records pace of play and reports any irregularities to the Golf Professional or Pro Shop Staff on duty.
Monitors starter supplies and reports shortages to the Head Golf Professional.
Monitors course dress code, golf equipment requirements and cooler restrictions and reports violations to the Golf Professional or Pro Shop Staff on duty.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Other duties of the Ranger/Starter:
Fill divots on the par three tees using sand buckets.
Check the water coolers for water content and adequate cups. Report any shortages to the support staff.
Periodically walk onto the putting greens and repair ball marks.
Check the restroom on hole 14 to insure that it is clean and operational. Clean the restroom as needed and report to the professional staff any abnormality.
Check the port‑o‑let on hole 5 to insure that it is clean and operational. Clean the restroom as needed and report to the professional staff any abnormality.
Check any stake that is crooked, or out of the ground and hammer back in.
Notify Golf Course maintenance and/or the Golf shop of any abnormal conditions that you find.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
Must be able to interact with customers and co‑workers in a professional manner.
Understanding of golf preferred.
Other duties and responsibilities:
May be called upon from time to time to assist golf shop personnel.
May work weekends or holidays.
Education, Training and Experience:
Prior experience interacting working with the public is a plus.
All candidates must be at least 16 years of age.
One year or more of customer service experience preferred.
Additional Ranger/Starter Qualifications:
Previous golf operations experience.
Physical Requirements of the Job: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak, read, and hear. Constant hearing to effectively communicate with guests staff and to be aware of any possible dangers on the golf course is required. The employee frequently is required to stand, use hands, fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, climb, or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach overhead. The employee must frequently lift and/ or move up to 50‑lbs., often times above shoulders. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. The ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner both in writing and verbally is essential to this position. Interaction with the public and co‑workers is an everyday occurrence and requires the ability to direct, negotiate and mediate.
Work Environment: Exposure to noise levels may cause distractions. Work is performed in either an indoor or outdoor environment. Occasionally work will be done in inclement weather conditions including heat, rain, wind and sun. Work is performed while standing and seated.
