The Role The Recruiting Lead will be a key member of Oliver Wyman’s Experienced Hire Recruiting team, partnering closely with Partners, Practice Leaders, Human Capital, and Americas leadership to attract and hire top-tier lateral Partner talent across the region. This role is ideal for an experienced recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and intellectually demanding environment, and who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands‑on execution. This role reports directly to the Americas Head of Experienced Hire Recruitment. As a Recruiting Lead, you will:

Own full-cycle recruitment for Partner roles across multiple practices (e.g., Banking & Financial Services, Health & Life Sciences, Customer Innovation & Growth, Mergers & Acquisitions).

Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing market insights, strategic guidance, and data‑driven recommendations on talent.

Ensure an exceptional candidate experience and uphold Oliver Wyman’s employer brand in the market.

Become embedded in the growth agenda of the firm, influencing who joins and shapes Oliver Wyman’s future.

Collaborate with smart, motivated colleagues in a culture that values impact, collaboration, and inclusion; including coaching and mentoring opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with Practice Leaders, Partners, and Human Capital leaders to develop and refine Partner focused recruiting strategies and roles that align with business and growth objectives.

Conduct regular market analyses on competitor hiring trends, compensation, and talent movements; provide data‑driven recommendations to stakeholders and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly.

Contribute to strengthening Oliver Wyman’s brand through high‑quality candidate interactions, consistent messaging in the market. Ensure candidates receive seamless, transparent, and high‑touch experience throughout the hiring process, acting as a credible ambassador for Oliver Wyman.

Lead end‑to‑end recruitment for experienced and senior‑level roles as needed, in addition to Partner roles. This includes sourcing, screening, interviewing, debriefs, offer development and negotiation, and pre‑onboarding engagement.

Build and maintain high‑caliber pipelines by leveraging multiple channels, including direct sourcing (e.g., LinkedIn, market mapping, networking), referrals, and selective use of search firms.

Manage structured, consistent, and high‑quality recruitment processes across multiple practices, ensuring timely progress, alignment with hiring needs, and adherence to internal policies and risk guidelines.

Develop competitive offers aligned with internal frameworks and candidate expectations; lead offer negotiations and closing strategies to secure top talent.

Collaborate with Human Capital colleagues to support smooth onboarding and effective integration of new hires into the firm’s practices and culture.

Lead or support strategic recruiting projects, such as new sourcing tools, new‑practice builds, or technology implementations that improve the efficiency and impact of the Experienced Hire Recruiting team.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

At least 10 years of recruiting experience, with at least 2 years focused on Partner/executive‑level hiring in a fast‑paced professional services environment.

Demonstrated success working in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

Strong sourcing capabilities across LinkedIn, market research, networking, referrals, and other creative channels.

Preferred

Experience recruiting within management consulting, legal, or financial services.

Prior experience in executive search or leading recruitment for senior‑level roles (e.g., Principal/Partner‑level, or equivalent).

Experience coaching and mentoring recruiting team members.

Ability to advise, influence, and build credibility with senior leadership.

Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, plan, and manage multiple searches and projects concurrently in a dynamic environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience leveraging AI tools and digital solutions to enhance recruiting outcomes. Comfortable working with data, using metrics to evaluate process efficiency, candidate conversion, and candidate success rates; experience with ATS platforms and HR/recruiting tools, including Workday and LinkedIn Recruiter.

This is a hybrid role that requires a presence in the office 3 days per week. There is no option to be fully remote.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $126,000 to $168,000.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives.
