The Manager, Search Engine Optimization supports that mission by helping patients, caregivers, and physicians discover accurate, trusted MSK information across search engines, local listings, reviews, and emerging AI‑powered discovery experiences.
Role Overview
Support and evolve MSK's search engine optimization strategy across organic search, local listings, and online reviews.
Help modernize SEO practices, including optimizing content for LLMs, generative search engines, and AI‑influenced discovery.
Partner with listings vendors to help maintain accurate, consistent, and compliant location data across platforms.
Collaborate with survey and review vendors to strengthen review monitoring and response processes.
Work cross‑functionally with Marketing & Communications, Legal, clinical stakeholders, and operations teams.
Monitor search performance and visibility trends, translating findings into clear, practical insights.
Assist with establishing standards and best practices that promote accuracy, trust, and consistency in search results.
Stay informed on evolving search technologies and AI‑driven discovery to inform future recommendations.
Handle visibility or reputation‑related issues with professionalism, sound judgment, and sensitivity.
Key Qualifications
5–8 years of experience in SEO, search, or digital visibility roles.
Direct healthcare SEO experience, including familiarity with regulated or highly scrutinized content.
Strong understanding of local search, listings management, and location‑based discovery.
Experience working with vendors or platforms supporting listings and review management.
Hands‑on experience with SEO tools and technologies (e.g., BrightEdge, Yext, Schema, analytics platforms).
Core Skills
Collaborative, relationship‑driven approach to working with diverse stakeholders.
Comfort navigating evolving priorities, new search behaviors, and emerging technologies.
Curiosity and willingness to learn, especially around AI‑driven and generative search trends.
Clear, thoughtful communicator who can explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
Professional judgment and discretion when addressing sensitive or high‑visibility situations.
Additional Information Schedule:
Hybrid; 1 time a week at various MSK locations in New York City

Pay Range:
$111,600.00 – $178,600.00 FSLA Status: Exempt
