About the Role We are seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist to support engagement and communication efforts for a growing internal organization. This role involves developing marketing campaigns, newsletters, and service announcements for internal stakeholders. It is well-suited for a junior to mid-level communicator who wants to grow with the team and support high-visibility communication initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Create and distribute service announcements for internal teams.
Support quarterly newsletters including thought leadership, project updates, and new‑hire features.
Support external-facing updates such as new tools, technology highlights, and organizational initiatives.
Strategize and execute marketing campaigns such as themed awareness weeks or department initiatives.
Translate technical or complex information into clear, accessible content for general audiences.
Assist with content development for internal and external communications.
Facilitate campaign-related events and engagement activities.
Manage a communication calendar to ensure consistent campaign and message delivery.
Develop creative copy and messaging across multiple communication channels.
Required Skills and Experience
Strong writing and copywriting experience with strong attention to detail.
Experience in marketing communications or corporate communications.
Highly organized with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities.
Creative thinker with strong messaging and storytelling skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Planner, and PowerPoint.
Experience using drag-and-drop design or communication tools such as Canva, MailChimp, or Staffbase.
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software platforms.
Preferred or Nice-to-Have Skills
Basic design skills and an eye for visual layout.
Experience in a tech, digital, or IT-related environment is helpful but not required.
Experience in smaller or creative companies, with comfort handling technical content.
Experience with SharePoint is a plus.
Work Environment
Small, collaborative team with broad visibility across the organization.
Hybrid role requiring onsite presence 2-3 days per week.
Collaborative, creative, and fast-paced environment.
Contract expected through the end of the calendar year, with potential for annual renewal.
Pay and Benefits The pay range is $35.00 – $40.00 per hour.
