TITLE: SR CONSUMER LOAN SERVICING PROJECTS COORDINATOR STATUS: EXEMPT REPORTS TO: SRMGR - OPERATIONS - CONSUMER LOAN SERVICING DEPARTMENT: OPERATIONS SERVICES JOB CODE: 11750
PAY SCALE: $93,700.00 - $98,000.00 ANNUALLY
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for the strategic direction, implementation, execution, and management of enterprise-wide projects and internal initiatives for Consumer Loan Servicing. The role includes spearheading research and development of innovative concepts, solutions, and digital applications that align with the credit union’s strategic goals. A key focus is on reducing paper usage through digitization while creating process efficiencies. This position oversees the coordination and execution of highly complex product, service, and system upgrades, ensuring seamless integration and consistent alignment with organizational commitments. As the single point of contact for these initiatives, the role ensures successful delivery through comprehensive project management, leveraging expertise in technical systems and requires a high level of cross‑functional collaboration. Additionally, this role requires research techniques, analytical skills, and project management strategies to drive continuous innovation and support leadership within servicing.
TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:
Simultaneously lead several complex enterprise projects and division initiatives with varied deliverables, team members, and audiences requiring ongoing prioritisation and relationship management.
Define Project scope, goals and deliverables that support internal business area goals in collaboration with business process owners, vendors, senior management and other stakeholders.
Recognise and identify potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change while working projects, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion.
Develop project plans, project schedules and estimates, resource plans and other documentation necessary for successful project completion.
Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance including bank secrecy and anti‑money laundering laws appropriate to the position.
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders, including leadership on progress and problem situations, risks and issues in a timely and clear fashion.
Estimate the resources needed to achieve project goals, delegating tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
Identify and resolve or escalated issues and conflicts within the project team.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, devise contingency plans and track deliverables.
Coach, mentor and motivate project team members and vendors, and influence them to take accountability and positive action for their assigned work. Provide focus and direction to team members to reach targets and deadlines.
Support other project coordinators and project managers assigned to enterprise projects to ensure collaboration.
Develop or Assist in Request for Proposals (RFP), including business needs and product/service expectations.
Work with business owners to assess vendor products and interfaces impacted by projects and make recommendations for cost effective, efficient improvements.
Conduct project lessons learned and identify any post‐go‑live tasks remaining.
Assist department leadership as needed and performs other related duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASKS:
Exceptional oral and written communication skills to interact with members, credit union staff and management, negotiate vendor agreements and manage project teams.
Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate an online computer terminal and other standard office equipment, such as personal computer, multi‑use copiers and telephone.
Excellent project management skills are required to manage the implementation enterprise‑wide projects, prepare recommendations, perform analysis and to accomplish other project management functions as listed.
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines; may be required to work extended hours to complete tasks and must be able to work on own initiative.
Makes sound decisions in the absence of detailed instructions.
Plans and organizes work with little or no assistance and requires minimal supervision.

Branch and departmental staff and management. Senior level technical resources, such as Enterprise Application leadership, IT‑Programmers, Technical Business Analysts, Project Managers and Internal Audit.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management Information Systems or Computer Science or related experience is strongly preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum eight years of combined experience in project analysis, coordination and management with a minimum of five years of experience directly managing projects or servicing teams. Experience managing moderate complexity projects end‑to‑end required, preferably in a financial institution.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Strong knowledge of the job functions related to loan products and services.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to use logical reasoning when interpreting facts.
Ability to make independent, objective observations, examinations, evaluations and recommendations.
