Director of Patient Experience - Executive Office- Full Time-Mount Sinai Queens
The Director of Patient Experience provides leadership and oversight for targeted patient experience improvement initiatives at Mount Sinai Queens. This role collaborates with administrative, nursing, and physician leaders to implement evidence-based healthcare communication training and educational programs that enhance the patient experience. The Director plays a key role in driving operational efficiency and service excellence.
Responsibilities
Analyze patient experience data from surveys, comments, complaints, focus groups, and direct observations to identify opportunities for improvement.
Serve as a subject matter expert, providing hospital leaders and department managers with best practices for enhancing patient experience.
Develop and implement patient experience training programs in partnership with Talent Development, ensuring sustainability of improvements.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop action plans and service-line-specific strategies to enhance patient satisfaction.
Communicate and manage improvement initiatives with a positive, solutions-focused approach.
Coach frontline teams to adopt a culture of continuous quality improvement.
This role requires a proactive leader who can drive meaningful improvements in patient experience and staff performance.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Experience:
Five years of healthcare or other type of leadership experience with demonstrated success managing teams, developing and managing projects, and implementing patient experience improvement initiatives in a complex environment.
Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, including the ability to deliver persuasive presentation to various audiences.
