Job Summary The Sales Administrator is primarily responsible for recording, monitoring, and reporting the sales activities of Darling's Sales Department. In addition to sales administration, the Sales Administrator will help with special projects and reporting as directed by the Sales Operations Manager.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Process customer orders via email and phone
Support sales managers to ensure customer pricing is accurate and communicated
Check data accuracy of sales orders and purchase orders
Maintain excellent business relationships with customers through constant communication
Work with logistics department to ensure timely deliveries
Maintain and update sales records
Communicate important feedback from customers internally
Process and communicate any sales corrections with accounting department
Provide support to plant personnel regarding schedule changes, rejections, etc.
Provide follow‑up and communication on AR aging
Process AP finished‑goods invoices
Work with sales team to ensure all customer contracts, specification sheets, etc. are on file and updated timely
Ensure all third‑party vendor warranties are on file and updated timely
Work with sales and QA teams to file and process quality alerts, claims, rejections, etc.
Administrative support and coordination of international transactions and related documentation
All other duties as assigned by management
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum 2 years of experience in sales administration field; customer service background preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual
Excellent math skills
In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications
Highly organized; superior time management skills
Exceptional communication skills both written and oral
Self‑motivated; self‑starter; extroverted personality
Work well with all levels of the corporation
