Job Description Lead the sales community to success by communicating direction, inspiring the team, and managing the HPE sales motion to drive growth and profitability. Build high‑performing teams through recruiting, development and retention, and orchestrate enterprise‑level customer engagements to deliver results.

Responsibilities

Lead the sales community to success and communicate effectively to set direction in line with the company’s vision.

Inspire the team to meet and exceed goals and manage sales performance through coaching.

Oversee the sales motion strategy and deployment toward growth and increased profitability.

Recruit, develop, promote and retain best‑in‑class talent.

Organize the team and adapt resource mix to maximize market coverage and financial performance.

Ensure integrity and uphold the company’s culture and values.

Orchestrate major enterprise‑level customer engagements to deliver the best customer experience.

Engage key customer executives (CEO, CFO, COO) to understand business context and build trust.

Create early‑stage opportunities by managing top customers’ executive‑level relationships.

Coach teams to craft technical, IT investment, pricing and sales strategies to win.

Partner with stakeholders across business units to maximize customer success and team efficiency.

Manage strategic and tactical sales planning, provide execution follow‑up and supply accurate sales forecasts and outlooks.

Collect structured customer feedback, competitive assessments and win/loss analysis to promote learning.

Education and Experience

University or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.

10+ years in sales with proven track record of progressively higher quota attainment.

5+ years managing high‑performing sales teams.

Demonstrated excellence in project management.

Knowledge and Skills

Strong strategic thinking and alignment of business model to opportunities.

Leadership through change, inspiring the team and building high‑performance teams.

Integrity and ethical standards.

Deep understanding of HPE portfolio, industry trends and customer needs.

Business and financial acumen with ability to analyze data and influence decisions.

Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder partnership abilities.

Scope and Impact

Typically manage employees, resources or projects across multiple countries and BUs.

Responsible for moderate to large quotas and operating profit targets.

Participate in investment, pricing and resource allocation decisions.

Manage approximately 10 sales representatives and possibly other sales roles.

Compensation Annual salary USD 245,500–507,000 (United States, California). Salary includes base and target‑level sales compensation.
