Southwest Regional Sales Manager

to develop and expand business across the Southwestern and Central Gulf states. Ideal candidate would reside in Houston or Dallas‑Fort Worth, TX surrounding areas.

Position Overview The Southwest Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth within the assigned territory, developing strong customer relationships, managing manufacturer representatives, and expanding our industrial distribution network. This individual must be a proactive “solution seller” who is highly organized, strategic, and comfortable working directly with OEMs and engineering firms.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, execute, and manage a comprehensive business plan for the territory.

Call directly on OEMs in strategic markets to promote and specify Walther Electric solutions.

Work with consulting engineering firms and participate in the specification process.

Manage, support, and challenge manufacturer representative agencies; develop annual sales plans and assist in meeting growth targets.

Establish and grow an industrial distribution network to support customer needs and drive market penetration.

Maintain strong communication with internal teams regarding customer activity, market trends, and competitive insights.

Efficiently manage time, travel, and territory planning.

Participate in regional and national trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to support brand presence and generate new business opportunities.

Utilize CRM, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and related business software tools.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (required).

5–8 years of industrial electrical sales experience within the defined Southwestern/Gulf Coast territory.

Proven experience calling directly on OEMs.

Strong background in the specification process with engineering firms.

Demonstrated success in managing manufacturer reps and developing distribution channels.

Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and effective communicator.

Must be willing and able to travel extensively (50‑60% travel).

Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
