With a minimum of 2 years of automotive sales management experience, you will play a vital role in building relationships with both employees and customers, driving the sales process forward. Your responsibilities will include managing a team of automotive sales consultants and used vehicle inventory, structuring car deals, and ensuring our lot is clean and welcoming.

You’ll also develop strategic plans to meet departmental objectives and provide essential training to support your sales team. Requirements for This Used Car Sales Manager Job A minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent is required, along with at least two years of automotive sales management experience. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential to foster relationships and enhance the sales process. You should have a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of automotive retailing, including inventory control, to effectively manage stock and meet customer needs. Strong computer and phone skills, particularly in Internet navigation, MS Outlook, and CRM tools, are vital for streamlining operations. A professional appearance coupled with a strong work ethic will set you apart in our fast‑paced environment. Additionally, being self‑motivated and goal‑oriented will help you thrive. A valid driver’s license and state sales license are also necessary to ensure compliance and professionalism in your role.
