Specialist Actuary, Casualty Multinational Solutions

We are looking for a motivated actuary to join the North America Excess Casualty Insurance Pricing & Analytics team. You will support the Casualty pricing for our Multinational Solutions portfolio. Your main responsibilities will be large, complex account pricing as well as metrics monitoring. The primary role location is in Exton, PA, USA but can be open to candidates local to one of our other east cost offices.

What you’ll be doing What will your essential responsibilities include?

Primary & Excess Casualty Account Pricing: Utilize various actuarial pricing tools and expertise to produce accurate, timely, and comprehensive account-specific pricing guidance. Guidance will be for primary and/or excess layers for global businesses with large US exposures. Collaborate with local and global program actuaries. Communicate effectively with underwriters.

Pricing tool data collection oversight, analysis, quality checking, and reporting.

Adhere to and comply with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Builds robust stakeholder relationships and is dedicated to understanding and meeting their needs.

Provide specialized training to underwriters on pricing matters, ensuring the team is equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to make informed decisions.

Leverage new technologies and analytical tools to improve pricing models and processes, ensuring the team stays competitive in the market.

Engage closely with teams for pricing accuracy and operational alignment including but not limited to: Governance, CUO, Underwriting, Reserving, Claims, Models & Analytics, IT, Compliance, etc.

Support the development, testing, calibration, and maintenance of pricing models and complex rating algorithms, including studies on pricing parameters, change impacts, and documentation.

Conduct micro portfolio management activities including selection of base loss ratio for business planning, profitability studies & deep dives, dashboard maintenance, and post-event loss evaluations.

You will report to a qualified actuary on the Insurance North America Excess Casualty Pricing and Analytics team. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Pricing, Property & Multinational Solutions.

What you’d bring We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

Required Skills and Abilities

Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Applied Math, Statistics, or related field

Qualification level – Qualified actuary through the Casualty Actuarial Society

Material experience in Property & Casualty actuarial pricing or reserving

Motivated, strategic thinker with a robust collaborative work ethic and a focus on quality and integrity

Advanced in and significant experience in Excel

Legally authorized to work in the posting country

Desired Skills and Abilities

Coding proficiency in languages such as Python, R, and SQL, used for data analysis, developing tools, and automating processes is a plus.

Exceptional problem‑solving, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.

Takes full responsibility for deliverables, maintaining high standards and openness to feedback for ongoing improvement.

Excellent influencing, negotiating, and communication skills – both verbal and written.

A proactive learner continuously seeking opportunities to deepen expertise in actuarial work.

Demonstrates robust teamwork skills by actively participating in team activities, contributing to a collaborative environment, and supporting team members in achieving shared goals.

The U.S. base salary range for this position is US $101,400 - $177,600.

Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience and location. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with our colleagues’ pay.
