Job Title: Specialist - Marketing Communications
Primary Location 5401 JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY, Richmond, VA 23234
Contract Details 6-month contract (Potential to extend) - Onsite role
Shift:
8 am – 5 pm EST.
Pay rate:
$25/hr.
Job Description The marketing communications specialist must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, managing execution of multiple tasks in line with the segment marketing communications plan and have excellent teamwork capabilities since execution depends on close coordination between marketing, digital marketing, and sales.
From a developmental standpoint, the specialist will gain broad exposure to the segment marketing communications function and will have the opportunity to increase hours, and lead projects as needed or if desired.
Position Duties
Assist Channel Marketing in execution of co-branding requests including co-branded content and AD creative.
Oversee development of sales aids and brand updates to existing collateral. This includes product catalogs, swatchbooks, product overview sheets, and industry overview sheets.
Coordinate project timelines and execution of work with external agencies.
Manage review and feedback process for on-going projects with internal stakeholders.
NA email content calendar execution includes writing email copy and working with digital marketing team for scheduling.
Work with digital marketing team to coordinate website updates including webpage content updates and development of new webpages in line with key marketing initiatives.
Provide tactical support for trade show activities working closely with Marketing and Sales teams and external agencies. This includes supporting booth layout development, organizing material needs, registration, lead capture needs, and reservations and providing support remotely for day‑of event execution as needed.
Ensure content files are properly uploaded to sales enablement platforms such as MediaValet, Showpad, and Resource Center. Assisting with file organization as needed.
Assist with product photoshoots and content video shoots as needed
Qualifications / Skills
Bachelor or Associate’s degree in related field such as Marketing, Communications, PR, or Journalism
Demonstrated management and organizational skills, especially the ability to manage multiple projects across multiple functions or business segments with attention to detail
Strong communication skills both oral and written and ability to work effectively in a multi-functional team
Experience coordinating efforts with external agencies and vendors is preferred
Copywriting experience is preferred
Self‑motivated and self‑starter.
Delivers on commitments.
Demonstrated computer proficiency in a number of software programs including Microsoft Office especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is preferred
Genuinely promotes team spirit and commitment to common objectives
Travel ~5-10%
