Charles Schwab’s Central Marketing organization stewards the Schwab brand, delivers impactful advertising, and creates meaningful client experiences across channels. Within Central Marketing, the Data Driven Communications team partners closely with marketing and business leaders to support client acquisition and engagement strategies by identifying key events, triggers, alerts, and attributes that enable timely, relevant, and personalized interactions.

Our team leverages Salesforce Marketing Cloud to design and deliver sophisticated, multi‑touch, multi‑channel communication journeys for prospects and clients. We are seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Specialist who is passionate about execution excellence, platform health, and enabling impactful marketing at enterprise scale.

As a Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Specialist, you will play a hands‑on role in executing Marketing Cloud programs while helping ensure the stability, scalability, and ongoing optimization of the platform. You will be a trusted partner to marketing, technology, and business teams across the firm.

Key Responsibilities Marketing Cloud Execution and Support

Support marketing programs utilizing Email Studio, Web Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and select custom integrations

Build and maintain advanced, multi‑touch customer journeys using decision, random, and engagement splits

Create campaign audiences using data extensions, data filters, SQL activities, and journey data

Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant campaign deployments

Monitor active campaigns and troubleshoot issues to ensure successful delivery

Email and Messaging Excellence

Monitor and manage email deliverability and sender reputation across email clients

Promote consistent, accessible, and reusable email templates, content modules, and documentation

Develop email templates, content modules, and CloudPages using HTML, AMPscript, JavaScript, and WYSIWYG editors

Apply email best practices and guidelines, including those relevant to regulated industries

Platform Health and Enablement

Lead ongoing platform health monitoring, troubleshoot system issues, and provide user support in a large enterprise environment

Advise business and technical partners on Marketing Cloud best practices while supporting business objectives

Maintain standard operating procedures, including naming conventions, folder structures, and campaign standards

Manage and support integrations with related platforms such as DAM, CRM, data tools, and advertising channels

Champion the capabilities of Marketing Cloud and the Data Driven Communications team across the firm

Leverage AI tools where appropriate to drive efficiency, quality, and scale

What you have Required Qualifications

Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification

Marketing Cloud Consultant Certification

4+ years’ experience as a Marketing Cloud Admin, Architect or Email Specialist

Experience working with Marketing Cloud data extensions, SQL queries, and AMPScript

Experience documenting customer problems and software solutions using BRDs, wireframes, diagrams, workflows and mockups

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity w/ Sales Cloud and/or Financial Services Cloud

Experience with the Agile methodology and JIRA software

Creative problem solver and innovative out‑of‑the‑box thinker who can effectively collaborate with both technology and business partners to design new products and applications

4+ years' experience with HTML, JSON, JavaScript and CSS

4+ years' experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud

Marketing Cloud Admin or Developer Certification a plus

Bachelor’s degree
