The Landmark College Bookstore offers a curated selection of textbooks, academic supplies, branded apparel, snacks, and everyday essentials, all tailored to meet the needs of students, faculty, families, and campus visitors. In addition to course materials and merchandise, the bookstore provides services such as refrigerator and microwave rentals, a student grocery program, and bulk supply ordering. The bookstore also features seasonal promotions, online ordering options, and a welcoming retail environment that reflects the spirit of the Landmark community. Primary Function:

The Bookstore Sales Associate is responsible for performing a variety of duties in a retail setting. Associate operates cash registers, manages financial transactions, performs reconciliation of records to balance out drawers daily, stocks and prices merchandise. This Position assists with stocking and cash reconciliation of the snack vending and coin machines throughout the campus. Engagement with merchandise and providing outstanding customer service is vital. Physical strength and agility are required to lift and stock merchandise. Positions may require some evening and weekend hours to service our Landmark students and community. Specific Responsibilities:

Sales, Customer Service, and Merchandising Provide outstanding customer service by assisting with phone, web, and in- person sales, and responding to inquiries from students, faculty, staff, vendors, and the public. Support merchandising efforts, including designing and updating attractive displays, managing promotions, and ensuring the store layout is clean, organized, and well -stocked both in-store and online. Contribute to daily bookstore operations, including display setup, marketing, inventory oversight, and sales activities. Collaborate with the Bookstore Manager to coordinate workflow and support timely completion of high-priority projects. Inventory, Operations, and Financial Processing Process purchase orders and receive incoming merchandise in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain accurate stockroom inventory, oversee snack vending and coin machine maintenance, and manage the appliance rental program. Update and maintain the point-of-sale database and bookstore website. Record and reconcile daily cash, credit, check, and gift certificate transactions. Assist with the Student Bookstore Grocery Program, which may include operating a College bus or van to pick up orders. Gather and organize data for reports in collaboration with the Bookstore Manager. Staff Supervision and General Support Supervise and train college work-study students, assigning and adjusting tasks to maximize productivity. Communicate operational issues, unusual situations, or customer concerns to the Bookstore Manager. Perform additional duties assigned to support the overall success of the bookstore. Qualifications:

Apreviouscustomerserviceexperience. StrongcomputerskillswithknowledgeofExcel,Word,andPhotoshop. Strongorganizationalskills,includingplanning,workscheduling andtaskcompletion. Excellentabilitiesincustomerrelationsandservingthepublic,andtheabilitytoeffectively communicate to members of theLandmark community, their parents, andthepublic. Abilitytobeflexiblewithworkscheduleandmustbeabletoworksomeweekends. Abilitytodealwithsensitiveandconfidentialdataandsituations Working Conditions:

General retail and campus environment. Duties require regular and sensitive interaction with management, faculty, staff, the general public, vendors, and external certifying and evaluative personnel, both in-person and via information technology. Regular local travel is required to procure materials and merchandise not available or practical through Physical Effort:

Requires the ability to lift and transport moderately heavy items (up to 40-50 lbs) across campus facilities. Frequent use of computers and digital devices involving repetitive hand and wrist movements. Occasional travel and extended periods of standing or walking during inventory, events, or vendor visits.
