Job Summary The Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in bringing our mission to life by executing the marketing plan and delivering impact through compelling messaging and guest experiences. This position supports existing initiatives while helping develop new efforts aligned with our strategic plan and annual objectives. The role leads and supports deliverables across Navy Pier’s owned channels—including web, email, social, and on-site digital boards—managing timelines and ensuring quality standards. Additionally, it supports the broader marketing team and facilitates communication among internal teams and external stakeholders, strengthening Navy Pier’s reputation as a mission-driven organization and global destination.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
Assist in executing marketing deliverables across website, social, email and on-site digital screens ensuring cohesive messaging, brand consistency, and high-quality content creative for various projects and campaigns.
Develop and edit content for websites, blogs, and email marketing campaigns.
Ensure website is functional, updated with new content, and optimized for SEO; coordinate with Director of Digital Marketing to manage partner agency to communicate objectives, manage projects and deliverables.
Provide support to management and execution of social media strategy to drive engagement; support to include calendar planning, content creation, posting and community engagement.
Monitor owned channels, tracking performance against stated KPIs and generate reports to inform on‑going strategy and planning.
Assist in development of creative briefs to inform asset development ensuring objectives, timelines and expectations are clear and actionable.
Serve as point of contact for internal teams, tenant partners, agencies, and other external stakeholders.
Execute administrative support tasks required for marketing initiatives and projects, including:
Manage marketing asset library, ensuring all files are organized and maintained to ensure streamlined system for easy retrieval; administer asset requests from internal and external partners, ensuring adherence to brand and quality standards.
Coordinate and schedule meetings efficiently, ensuring all participants are informed and prepared.
Assist in preparation of presentations, reports, and other prep materials as requested.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience
Minimum 1‑3 years experience in marketing, ideally with a proficiency in digital marketing platforms, including website management and email marketing, social media strategy and/or execution.
Experience using design (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.) and editing software is a plus.
Submission of writing samples and/or portfolio is encouraged.
Qualifications
Understanding of marketing principles, brand strategy, and campaign execution.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments, agencies and stakeholders.
Proficiency in Google Analytics, Meta for Business, SEO/SEM, email marketing tools and/or CRM software preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must work on‑site at Navy Pier and able to work extended hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays, as required.
Maintains professionalism and a positive attitude, serving as an ambassador for Navy Pier and representing its’ mission and values both in and out of the workplace.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, business or related field.
