Overview
Retail Sales Associate
Assists customers by helping them select products. Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge. Greets and receives customers in a welcoming manner. Responds to customers' questions.
Responsibilities
Drive sales through engagement of customers
Greets and receives customers in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner
Work with fellow co-workers and management to keep retail space clean and always organized
Maintain product on sales floor and fill backstock throughout assigned shift
Responsible for a point-of-sale register and accepting credit cards, cash, comps or other payment for retail items
Verify identity of customers when using comps as a form of payment for retail items
Consistently deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees
Performs any other duties as assigned
Qualifications
One year of retail or customer service experience preferred
High school diploma
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Strong multitasking and time management abilities
Attention to detail, ensuring accurate order‑taking and payment processing
Basic math skills for handling payments and calculating tips
