Sales Executive, Alliances & Partnerships
S&P Global, New York, NY, United States
About the Role
Sales Executive, Alliances & Partnerships
Responsibilities and Impact You’ll be the first impression of Market Intelligence, leveraging resources from marketing, product, sales and relationship management teams to match our solutions and services to meet client needs. Technical knowledge isn’t a requirement as you’ll be supported by our Data Management Solutions team to demo and implement datafeed solutions like API, Snowflake, and Xpressfeed.
You will be responsible for selling new products and solutions into named Technology and Alliances accounts as well as managing Whitespace opportunities, both essential to the organization’s overall growth.
We are looking for someone who is driven and possess a thought‑out sales process, product knowledge of S&P Market Intelligence products, namely Capital IQ, understanding of AI and Agentic workflows, and desire to learn S&P’s data licensing framework.
If you’re excited by datafeeds, enjoy complex business discussions, curious about SaaS and AI platforms, and enjoy working with CEOs and founders to creatively close deals — you’d be a great fit!
Own and expand whitespace and greenfield territories, identify new opportunities and drive pipeline, guiding customers from first touch through close.
Build and grow relationships within existing Technology and Alliance accounts, uncovering expansion opportunities and upselling additional solutions in partnership with Account Management under the “One MI Mindset.”
Identify key stakeholders, buyers, and influencers within new logo accounts and engage them in value‑driven conversations across the full S&P Market Intelligence, Data & Research product portfolio.
Develop new business opportunities from multiple sources including inbound leads, outbound prospecting, targeted account research, and discovery conversations.
Ability to articulate, at a high‑level, our Datafeed solutions – API, Snowflake, & Xpressfeed and engage regularly with our Data Management Team to provide demos and implementation calls.
Poses an understanding of S&P’s AI Strategy and license our data in‑line with that framework while staying up to date with the evolving AI ecosystem.
Maintain accurate sales pipeline reports and dashboards to forecast performance and inform strategy.
Maintain timely and accurate CRM data for all prospects and customers, ensuring that all communications, notes, and documents are properly recorded.
Continuously build upon product, industry, and sales knowledge by attending demos, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and seeking regular feedback.
Stay current on sales tools, techniques, market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape through ongoing learning.
Collaborate closely with peers to share best practices, competitive insights, and sales strategies to improve team performance.
Why this role is unique
You’ll represent the S&P Global Market Intelligence brand in conversations that matter; this is a high‑visibility, high‑growth role.
You’ll help clients license our datasets for external, go‑to‑market use cases, integrating our data directly into their platforms and solutions.
You’ll collaborate closely with internal partners to safeguard our data and ensure responsible growth.
You’ll be fully supported by our fantastic Data Management Team – no technical expertise in APIs or Xpressfeed required.
