What Account Management contributes to Cardinal Health Direct Sales is responsible for driving sales and services to new and/or existing customers through face-to-face or telephone contact to meet individual and organizational sales objectives.

Account Management is responsible for managing the success of the relationship with an assigned set of customers in order to achieve the goals and objectives identified by the customer and Cardinal Health. Responsible for long-term relationship building between the customer, Cardinal Health, and other professional organizations (Group Purchasing Organizations, etc.)

Job Summary The Medicare Advantage Account Executive is responsible for building strong relationships with Medicare Advantage brokers and agents in their assigned territory, to secure new patient referrals for our portfolio of diabetes management products and solutions. A key aspect of this role includes helping brokers navigate the supply ordering and management journey for their clients, providing ongoing consultative support to ensure a frictionless experience.

This individual will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic sales plan, educating brokers on the value of our products and solutions, and troubleshooting any issues related to client enrollment or supply delivery. Further, the Medicare Advantage Account Executive will be expected to continuously strengthen their market acumen by staying updated on medical policy and administrative changes for payers within their specific region, thereby ensuring they are a trusted and consultative partner for their customers.

Responsibilities

Prospects and develops new business relationships within the defined geography or territory Develops a network of valuable connections (e.g. insurance brokers, agency owners, FMO leadership, insurance carrier sales leadership)

Continues professional relationships with existing clients, referring partners, or any vested parties

Develops and manages a designated territory to meet strategic growth goals

Develops and applies a robust understanding of the unique needs of insurance brokers, their clients, and how our retention-focused service model can simultaneously improve the broker’s business and better support their clients with diabetes

Develops and delivers effective Sales Presentations

Effectively resolves sales-related challenges

Makes actionable and insightful recommendations for enhancements

Stays in tune and abreast of industry trends

Effectively communicates notable industry opportunities to management

Exemplifies a commitment to excellence and professionalism

Receives orders from Insurance agents and brokers

Maintains accurate and detailed records in company systems

Adapts quickly to frequent process changes and improvements

Attends all department, team, and company meetings as required

May provide cross-functional support as business needs demand

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

4-8 years of experience preferred

2 years of outside sales experience preferred

Proven track record of success (documented/brag book) desired

Basic knowledge of medical terminology, diabetes, medical insurance, and/or DME desired

Proficiency in basic math and business calculations desired

Working knowledge of computer/data entry with the ability to learn new systems

Basic level of MS Office proficiency: Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Anticipated salary range $109,700 - $119,700 (includes targeted variable pay)
