Senior Associate Brand Manager

The Senior Associate Brand Manager plays a critical role on the brand team, driving profitable commercial growth and shaping brand strategy. This role blends classic brand management with customer-focused commercialization, leveraging strong analytical skills, cross-functional leadership, and a growth mindset to accelerate JBSS brand presence across the marketplace while delivering volume, revenue, and profit goals.

This position is on-site 4 days a week in Elgin, IL.

Functions of the Position:

Brand Strategy & Execution – Translates consumer, shopper, and customer insights into actionable brand strategies that drive commercial outcomes. Manages day-to-day execution of brand programs, ensuring alignment with customer and channel strategies. Supports the development of brand messaging, creative assets, and activation plans aligned with commercial priorities.

Customer & Channel Strategy & Execution – Develops customer-specific strategies in partnership with Sales, tailoring plans, pricing, and promotional approaches to each channel and retailer’s dynamics. Builds compelling sell-in stories to grow JBSS brands at priority channels and retailers and ensures flawless execution of customer-specific programs.

P&L Performance & Profitability – Monitors financial performance and recommends corrective actions to drive profitable growth.

Performance Tracking & Analysis – Analyzes shipment data and Circana consumption data to assess brand performance and adjust forecasts. Proactively identifies business challenges and opportunities and tracks competitive performance.

Education, Experience, and Knowledge:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related business discipline; MBA highly desirable.

Two or more years of experience in a brand marketing role within a consumer products company, preferably in food.

Experience supporting pricing, profitability, and P&L operations, with exposure to key financial decision-making drivers.

Demonstrated track record of successful project management, including commercialization experience.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong analytical skills, with familiarity using Circana/NIQ data.

Strong business and financial acumen.

Proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Strong influencing skills to drive alignment and execution.

Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
