Marketing & Venue Manager- Sandridge Golf Club: The Marketing and Venue Manager for Sandridge Golf Club will lead all promotional efforts and oversee event operations to create an exceptional guest experience. This position is responsible for all marketing of the new banquet facility, restaurant, and golf course, including social media. The manager will also be responsible for booking, planning, and executing all private events at Sandridge’s new clubhouse, including weddings, tournaments, corporate outings, and member events.

Marketing & Promotion

Develop and execute marketing plans to drive daily play and event bookings.

Manage digital marketing campaigns, social media presence, email outreach, and local partnerships to engage the community.

Create promotional materials, advertisements, and seasonal campaigns.

Build partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and tourism groups.

Track marketing performance and adjust strategies based on data and trends.

Event & Venue Management

Plan, coordinate, and execute tournaments, leagues, corporate outings, weddings, and special events.

Serve as the primary contact for event inquiries, bookings, and client communication.

Discuss proposals, contracts, and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) with clients.

Manage client relationships from initial inquiry through event day, including post-event follow-up.

Coordinate tastings, planning meetings, and timelines.

Coordinate with golf operations, food and beverage, and outside vendors.

Ensure smooth event execution and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Ensure branding and guest experience standards are maintained across all touchpoints.

Education One of the following:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Administration, Business Administration, Hospitality, Recreation Management, Communications, or a closely related field.

Associate degree in a related field and two additional years of relevant professional experience (in addition to the experience requirement below).

High school diploma/GED and four additional years of progressively responsible experience may be considered.

Experience

Three to five (3–5) years of professional experience in marketing, venue or facility management, hospitality operations, tourism, recreation management, or golf course operations.

Experience creating and executing marketing plans, digital/social media campaigns, and community outreach strategies.

Experience in event management, including booking, scheduling, coordinating, and operational oversight of public-facing events.

Experience supervising staff, vendors, or contractors is typically preferred.

Prior experience in local government, public sector operations, or working within a regulated environment is preferred but not required.

Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations

Possess and maintain a valid Florida driver's license.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge

Principles and practices of marketing, branding, advertising, and public relations.

Digital marketing strategies, including social media management, content creation, email marketing, and analytics tools.

Venue and facility operations, particularly within recreation, hospitality, and golf course environments.

Event planning, coordination, and promotional techniques.

Budget development, financial tracking, and revenue management for public facilities.

Customer service standards and community engagement best practices.

Public sector operations, including basic procurement procedures, contract management, and reporting requirements.

Golf course amenities, tournament operations, and terminology (preferred, but not required).

Principles of supervision, training, and performance management.

Safety standards and risk management practices applicable to public venues and recreational facilities.

Skills

Skill in developing and executing comprehensive marketing campaigns.

Strong writing, editing, and content development skills for print, digital, and social platforms.

Skill in event coordination, scheduling, and vendor/partner management.

Proficiency in marketing software, CRM tools, social media platforms, and analytics dashboards.

Skill in customer service, conflict resolution, and relationship building with diverse community groups.

Skill in budget preparation, revenue monitoring, and data reporting.

Ability to prepare clear, professional reports, presentations, and public-facing materials.

Competence in time management and handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Skill in supervising, motivating, and evaluating staff or volunteers.

Abilities

Ability to plan, organize, and oversee marketing and operational activities for a public recreational venue.

Ability to think creatively and identify opportunities to grow facility usage, revenue, and community engagement.

Ability to analyze metrics and adjust strategies for improved performance.

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with county departments, community partners, tourism boards, businesses, and the general public.

Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and make sound decisions within county policies.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in meetings, presentations, and public interactions.

Ability to manage events, programs, and promotional activities from concept through execution.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities, seasonal operations, and special event demands.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
