Account Executive – Risk This position is responsible for developing account plans for new and/or existing accounts. The role involves prospecting new customers and expanding business with existing customers, ultimately closing full solution sales to corporate clients.

About The Role In this opportunity, as an Account Executive you will:

Prospecting: Actively seek out new business opportunities with both new and existing customers to build a strong sales pipeline and maintain 3‑4× coverage of sales targets monthly and quarterly.

Account Management: Lead the entire sales process for major accounts (companies with revenues $500M+) from initial contact and account planning through deal closing and renewal.

Sales Goals: Meet or exceed revenue targets.

Cross‑functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams to tailor solutions to customer needs.

Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers and stakeholders, understanding their challenges and demonstrating how our solutions address them.

Salesforce Maintenance: Regularly update the CRM (Salesforce.com) to keep accurate records of sales activities and provide reliable forecasts; engage in client meetings via in‑person or platforms such as MS Teams.

About You

Proven ability to sell complex software solutions to large enterprises (revenues $500M+) using a consultative, value‑based approach.

Self‑starter comfortable with ambiguity and possessing a growth mindset, capable of managing change effectively.

Experience selling to C‑level executives applying solution selling and identifying business challenges and their impact.

Skilled in leading detailed sales processes involving various stakeholders.

Strong commitment to the company’s mission and a deep understanding of artificial intelligence and its applications in enhancing legal department operations.

Enthusiastic about prospecting and able to manage the entire sales cycle independently from initiation to closure.

Ability to work well with teams across different departments (marketing, product, legal) to achieve shared objectives.

Eager to refine sales strategies, enhance team culture, improve the company’s value proposition, and develop sales tools.

College degree preferred with a minimum of 5 years of direct field sales experience (corporate sector preferred) and a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas.

Ability to develop and execute an account plan.

Can work from a home office and travel to customer locations; 25‑50% travel required.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws requiring upfront disclosure of expected pay range. The target total cash compensation for this role in eligible U.S. locations is $136,500 USD – $253,500 USD. Base pay and target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive total‑reward program.
