Job Title: Country Manager – DACH Region (Founding Role) Location: Germany (flexible location within Germany, with frequent travel to hospitals across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) About the Company Edge Medical is a fast-growing medical device company focused on advanced minimally invasive surgical robotic systems and solutions. Currently in the early stage of international expansion, the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) has been identified as a core priority market in Europe. We are building our international business with a long‑term, structured, and compliant approach.

About the Role We are seeking a Regional Manager for the DACH region, who will be the first local employee of Edge Medical International in this territory. This role carries full responsibility for building the DACH business from the ground up, including market entry, early sales, key account development, and initial channel setup. The role reports to the European sales director. This is a hands‑on, entrepreneurial role, ideal for a senior medical device professional ready to take full ownership of a regional business.

Responsibilities

Sales & Market Development (Core Responsibility)

Lead the market entry and commercial development of Edge Medical products in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland)

Drive the sales activities together with local distributors with key hospitals, strategic accounts, and healthcare institutions across the territory

Develop and execute annual sales targets, installation plans, and revenue forecasts aligned with regional market potential

Identify, negotiate, and establish early reference sites and flagship hospitals to accelerate market adoption

Channel & Commercial Strategy

Define and execute the appropriate go‑to‑market model tailored to the DACH market characteristics

Identify, evaluate, and manage local distributors or commercial partners to expand market reach

Collaborate closely with headquarters on pricing strategy, discount structure, and commercial terms compliant with regional regulations

Ensure contracts, payment terms, and deal structures align with company policies and risk controls

Clinical & Marketing Collaboration

Partner with clinical support teams to ensure successful clinical adoption and training for healthcare professionals

Build and nurture relationships with local KOLs, clinical experts, and industry associations to support market education

Collect, analyze, and report competitive intelligence, market feedback, and product insights to headquarters

Team & Long‑Term Business Build‑Up

Support future hiring and team expansion as the DACH business scales

Act as the overall business owner for the DACH market, accountable for end‑to‑end execution and business results

Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or above; background in medical, biomedical, or business disciplines preferred

5–10 years of experience in medical device sales, with a proven track record in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland)

Demonstrated experience in surgical robotics or related surgical products; candidates with prior experience at Intuitive, CMR, Medtronic or Distalmotion will be given priority

Strong understanding of the DACH healthcare systems, including public and private hospital procurement processes

Proven ability to independently manage long sales cycles and complex decision‑making processes in the regional healthcare landscape

Strong Advantages (Nice to Have)

Experience as the first hire or country/regional manager for a new brand entering the DACH market

Experience managing both capital equipment and consumables business models

Proven track record in distributor selection, onboarding, and channel build‑up in the DACH region

Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in an early‑stage, resource‑lean environment
