Job Description The Bluebird Group is a manufacturer’s representative and consulting firm serving as an invaluable partner to some of the most innovative brands and multinational retailers. We are seeking a Retail Account Manager to work on our Costco team.

As a Retail Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving successful business partnerships between Costco and our vendor partners through forecasting, analytics, inventory flow optimization, and effective communication.

Job Duties

Build strong relationships with both our vendors’ operations teams and Costco’s buying teams

Demand Planning/Forecasting – facilitate and analyze forecasts to optimize the business for both the vendor and Costco

Monitor in-stock needs and provide a proactive strategy to solve the stock problem

Analyze vendor performance metrics and identify issues and root-causes, ultimately solving vendor performance issues or problems

Monitor customer purchase orders

Setup and Maintain new items within Costco

Provide vendors with at least weekly sell-through analytics and other information to help optimize the business

Maintain accurate records regarding program agreements, pricing, product information, order status, planning issues and vendor set-ups

Ensure that the internal accounting system is up-to-date with accurate shipping and invoicing information for cash flow purposes

Assist in new vendor setup for all new brands launching at Costco

Assist in Smarter Sorting registration for brands

Assist in Syndigo content

Job Requirements

Ability to analyze data, identify issues and make recommendations

Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Strong initiative and the ability to work independently with little supervision

Effective organization skills and the ability to multi-task

Working knowledge of Costco’s processes and systems

Functional knowledge of MS Excel (sorting/grouping data, pivot tables, v lookups, etc)

This position may require some travel

Experience/Qualifications

Four year college degree preferred

Experience working with Costco on the retail or vendor side
