Senior Estimator

Position Summary
The Senior Estimator plays a key leadership role in the preconstruction or planning phase, responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects. This role works closely with clients, internal teams, and leadership to establish budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support successful project acquisition and execution.

Key Responsibilities Lead the development of conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, and competitive proposals Perform quantity takeoffs, pricing, and cost analysis for labor, materials, and equipment Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates Identify project risks, gaps, and value engineering opportunities Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals for accuracy and completeness Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operational teams during planning and handoff phases Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners Participate in project meetings, site visits, and scope reviews as needed Support the development and improvement of estimating tools, systems, and processes Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development
Qualifications Several years of experience in estimating, cost analysis, or a related field Strong understanding of project workflows, cost drivers, and resource planning Proficiency in estimating software and standard business tools Ability to interpret technical documents, drawings, and specifications Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and xsgimln meet deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience Experience with collaborative project delivery methods is a plus Familiarity with digital modeling or coordination tools is beneficial Prior experience mentoring or leading team members is preferred
