
Interior Designer

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our growing team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This role is responsible for guiding homebuyers through the design selection process, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience while bringing each client’s vision to life within the framework of our home offerings.

Key Responsibilities • Lead client design consultations, assisting homebuyers with selections including finishes, fixtures, color palettes, flooring, cabinetry, and lighting • Translate client preferences into cohesive, functional design plans aligned with builder standards and budgets • Maintain a deep understanding of current design trends, materials, and products relevant to residential construction • Prepare design presentations, mood boards, and selection documentation • Ensure all selections are accurately documented and communicated to construction, purchasing, and trade partners • Collaborate closely with sales, construction, and procurement teams to ensure design intent is executed properly • Manage selection timelines to align with construction schedules and avoid delays • Provide exceptional customer service, creating a positive and memorable design experience for each client • Maintain and update the design center, including displays, samples, and vendor materials • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers

Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field (or equivalent experience) • 2+ years of residential interior design experience (new construction preferred) • Experience working with production or semi-custom home builders is a plus • Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, and residential construction processes • Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and Microsoft Office • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Strong organizational and time management abilities • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
