Position Overview

Summit Ventures is seeking a highly capable and hands-on Director of IT to lead and optimize the firm’s technology infrastructure. The Director of IT is a hands-on role responsible for leading and optimizing the firm’s technology infrastructure. This role combines IT administration, systems ownership, and project management, ensuring that all core platforms are aligned, integrated, and operating efficiently to support the company’s investment, development, and operational activities.

The Director of IT serves as the central point of accountability for all technology systems—managing internal needs, overseeing third-party vendors, and driving key technology initiatives that enhance scalability, reporting, and overall performance.

Key Responsibilities & Duties Enterprise Systems Ownership: Oversee Salesforce (CRM), Microsoft 365 / Teams, Sage Intacct (ERP), HubSpot Marketing Hub, and other systems Ensure seamless integrations and data flow Identify automation and workflow improvements Evaluate and select infrastructure hardware and software, and ensure procurement aligns with technical architecture roadmap Proactively identify aging systems and other areas that need updates and create business case accordingly

Vendor & Partner Management: Manage third-party administrators and consultants Define priorities, timelines, and accountability Evaluate vendor performance

Project Leadership & Execution: Lead system implementations, upgrades, and integrations Collaborate across departments Deliver projects on time and within scope Lead Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans within IT, ensuring that critical business systems are identified and each system has robust disaster recovery plans in place. Conduct annual Disaster Recovery test and provide results to senior leadership, including remediation planning.

IT Operations & Governance: Oversee IT support and system performance Maintain security, access controls, and data integrity Develop policies and ensure business continuity

Strategic Technology Leadership: Align IT strategy with company growth Recommend new technologies Report on performance and initiatives

Required Experience ~ Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or technical field or equivalent experience ~7+ years of experience in IT management or related fields ~ Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft 365/Teams, Sage Intacct, and HubSpot ~ Vendor management experience ~ Strong project management and communication skills ~ Ability to work both strategically and hands-on ~ High attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively ~ Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines ~ Quick learner and displays initiative ~ Team player with a positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications Experience in real estate, private equity, or investment management Familiarity with financial systems and reporting PMP or equivalent certification is a plus Experience with business intelligence tools

Compensation: $120-$140k Base + Bonus Competitive Benefits Package
