Overview Account Manager – Telephone / Home Based – Payments / Merchant Services
Salary package: £30-£35k + bonus (50% OTE)
Location: remote / home based role
Our client is a high-growth payments company, with an excellent reputation and several offices across the UK. Delivering payment solutions to a wide range of merchants, we are now keen to add to our account management team. This is a home based role, where you will contact a set portfolio of clients, build a relationship with and then use your commercial and relationship skills to renew contracts and/or retain existing customers. There is no cold calling, or direct sales in this role.
About the role:
pro-active account management of a portfolio of clients including SME & corporate customers, aiming to secure their renewal of contract & retain them as a customer
take responsibility for ensuring revenue targets are achieved and client satisfaction is maintained (growth through identifying opportunities to cross/up sell to existing accounts)
work closely with the internal teams to drive performance, and externally within the clients to ensure any issues are managed and dealt with
delivering growth & renewals as per target
act as an escalation point for any problems or issues, representing the company as a product evangelist
About you:
you will be skilled at building & maintaining excellent client relationships within client accounts, be a very confident individual on the phone who can ask the right questions, qualify opportunities and - most important of all - be a great listener!
you will have a track record of success gained in an account management, customer care or sales environment, preferably within payments or merchant services / financial services
having a pro-active and highly driven approach to the role, it's important to be flexible and motivated, able to manage both the customer relationship side and the administrative side as well
must have a good understanding of merchant services, payments / cards and/or acquiring
able to work both as part of a wider team as well as independently, able to cross-check and maintain an excellent level of reporting & data about your portfolio
