We're an AI-enabled, buy-side M&A advisory firm that connects retiring business owners with the private equity firms that will keep those companies running, those employees employed, and those communities intact. The Role
As a Business Development Associate, you'll spend the majority of your day on the phone with small business owners, building rapport, understanding what they've built, and identifying acquisition interest. When you find the right business, your Account Manager places it with one of our PE clients.
This is not a passive role. You dial 4.5 to 6 hours a day. You hunt. You build pipeline. You close.
What makes this different from any other sales role: you're not selling a product. You're having a conversation that could change the trajectory of a business owner's retirement and keep their employees' jobs intact.
What You'll Do
Dial 4.5–6 hours per day, reaching business owners across essential services verticals (generator services, fire & life safety, electrical, HVAC, and adjacent sectors)
Build genuine rapport with owners of $1M–$15M EBITDA businesses
Manage your pipeline using our AI-assisted CRM and dialer tools
Hand off qualified opportunities to your Account Manager for placement
What We're Looking For
1–2+ years of sales experience — outbound or phone-based preferred
Proven track record hitting or exceeding quota
Naturally charismatic and able to build trust quickly with blue-collar business owners
Incredibly hungry — motivated by getting deals done
High agency: you own your outcomes and follow up relentlessly
Bonus if you have experience in private equity, real estate sales, insurance, financial advisory, investment banking, brokerage, or accounting. Bonus if you've sold to small or midsize businesses. We'll train the right person on the M&A side — we cannot train hunger.
