Senior Staff Product Designer, Agentic Commerce
Stripe, Seattle, WA, United States
About Stripe Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About The Team The Product Design team is made up of several groups that define, create, and deliver all user-facing aspects of Stripe’s brand and product. Product Designers are strategic partners to Engineering and Product Management within their product area. In close collaboration with product teams, they shape user experiences, then translate them into high-quality designs that can be tested, shipped, and refined. Designers are responsible for building elegant, functional products that users love—and want to tell others about. Agentic commerce has the potential to be generationally impactful, which is why Stripe has assembled a dedicated team to explore and build the tools, products, and capabilities to accelerate the pace of change and help define what this future should look like. We’ve already developed the Agentic Commerce Protocol (ACP) alongside OpenAI, introduced Shared Payment Tokens—a new payment primitive that lets agents initiate transactions—and launched an Agentic Commerce Suite, which provides tooling for businesses to sell across multiple AI interfaces. There’s no forecasting exactly where agentic commerce will be by the end of 2026, so this solid foundation is just the start.
What you’ll do You’ll lead design for Agentic Commerce. You’ll work alongside a small group of Product Managers and Engineers to shape our strategy and build a variety of transformative products—for merchants, agents, and consumers. You’ll reimagine the consumer checkout experience with agentic commerce capabilities in mind, explore how those capabilities can be embedded across conversational LLMs, merchant apps, and our own Link product, and build the tools that allow merchants of all sizes to integrate and manage their products across those surfaces. All of this while maintaining an extremely high bar for craft and quality and acting as a leader across the team for designing intelligent AI‑driven workflows.
