
Marketing Communications Specialist

Brief Description Under general supervision, the Marketing Communications Specialist will create, manage and facilitate clear and concise communications for DMP. This includes both internal and external corporate emails, product announcements, social media, website content management and more. Preparing content, light graphic design or Adobe Creative Suite work, corporate event promotion, mailing list organization and maintenance in addition to other tasks and projects as assigned.
Hours: 8:00AM-5:00PM Monday-Friday, additional time as required.
Qualifications College degree or appropriate experience.
Excellent telephone and customer service skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, and typing skills.
Experience witht he use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite & social media platforms.
Have a good work attitude and work cooperatively with others in the department and company.
Detailed and accurate with strong organizational skills.
Extremely strong written communication skills.
Basic understanding of various marketing functions.
Ability to set and meet deadlines.
Ability to keep information in confidence.
Typical Duties And Responsibilities Manage and maintain an email marketing tool such as MailChimp or similar.
Jointly manages social media accounts and has experience with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram
Maintains and publishes various documents using Adobe Creative Suite.
Maintains and publishes website content, familiar with content management systems.
Occasionally uses Online Survey Tools such as QuestionPro or Web Forms or similar.
Fills in for various teammates when out of office, cross trained to handle key department tasks.
Creates and maintains department written procedures and documents accordingly.
Interacts with both internal and external customers to prioritize requests and department deliverables.
Manages equipment, computers & software in a mac environment.
Prepares marketing reports by collecting, and summarizing data.
Helps organize and plan meetings and events by identifying assembling, and coordinating attendee requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and agendas; coordinating mailing lists
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications.
Observes and adheres to DMP Data Classification Standard.
Occasional travel to tradeshows or events.
Takes care of the customer, fast!
